Lilah Pittman, MA, LPMT, MT-BC

Clinical Director

Lilah holds a Master of Arts in Music Therapy degree from Texas Woman’s University. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in music performance from Cameron University, where she graduated magna cum laude. She is also a Soundbirthing Music Therapy Assisted Childbirth Specialist. Her primary instrument is percussion though she especially loves to play the piano and guitar. She is currently working towards becoming a Fellow of the Association for Music & Imagery by completing training in the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music (GIM), and is an advanced trainee.

Her clinical experience includes working with: adolescents with behavioral disorders, adolescents and adults in psychiatric care, adults with substance abuse disorders, children with speech and language disorders, older adults in memory care units, individuals of all ages within a medical hospital setting, and individuals of all ages with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

She enjoys running, hiking, and cycling with her husband during her free time. Originally from Texas, Lilah is thrilled to be serving clients in Montgomery County and the surrounding area!


Mikaila Vieyra, LPMT, MT-BC

Internship Director, Clinical Supervisor

Mikaila (she/her/hers) is a licensed and board certified music therapist, and graduated cum laude from Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia. She has experience working with children and adults with disabilities, older adults in memory care/medical settings, end of life care, as well as teaching music lessons. Mikaila views the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative one, and therefore approaches her work from an eclectic perspective so as to be flexible in how the sessions are shaped together with the clients/participants she shares space with. However, she most closely aligns with a neurodiversity-affirming lens, encouraging and sharing in spaces of authenticity, support, and empowerment. Mikaila is committed to holding space for each individual’s unique personhood, and honoring how that influences how they experience the world. Understanding that each person is the expert of their own lived experience, she is very passionate about learning from those she works with how to most appropriately connect in order to collectively create a safe therapeutic space of learning, exploring, and growth. She looks forward to exploring and jamming alongside you! Outside of her clinical work, Mikaila loves hiking (or anything in nature!), exploring new places, painting, or enjoying good coffee (all the coffee!) with good people.


Amanda Rosado, MMT, LPMT, MT-BC

Amanda has been a board-certified music therapist for 13 years, supporting mental health music therapy from teens to end-of-life. Amanda has a Bachelor of Music Therapy ('09) and Master of Music Therapy ('18), from Shenandoah University. Amanda has experience in inpatient and outpatient mental health, music therapy research with teens, community wellness, neurological disorders, dementia, and end-of-life support. Amanda's former main instrument was oboe, though spends most of her musicking these days singing, playing guitar, and dabbling in digital music production. Amanda also enjoys being in nature as much as possible, being around animals (especially cats), and reading. rootedcadencemt.com


Ian Warren, LPMT, MT-BC

Ian Warren graduated summa cum laude from Shenandoah University and is a board-certified music therapist. He began music playing clarinet and bass clarinet before moving to percussion for high school and college. He was previously an intern at Gilchrist Hospice for 9 months serving the Howard County area. During his time at Shenandoah, he worked with a children’s group from Baltimore’s RISE arts center and adult and adolescent groups at Winchester Mental Health Center. 


Outside work, Ian enjoys writing and recording music and playing with his band Parsley around the DMV area. He is excited to work with a diverse population around the area he grew up.


Maya Johnson, LPMT, MT-BC

Maya Johnson is a licensed and board certified music therapist. She has worked as a music therapist in hospice care, memory care, and with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Maya also has experience in providing music lessons. She received her Bachelors of Music with a concentration in Music Therapy at Radford University. During her time at Radford University, she presented at a student conference on the importance of self-care and a regional conference on ethical thinking in music therapy education. She has also advocated for music therapy through many workshops. Maya has recently co-authored a chapter in the second edition of Music Therapy at the End of Life. Maya is currently a candidate at Slippery Rock University’s Master of Music Therapy program focusing on advanced music therapy training with a strong emphasis on culture, diversity, ethics, and social justice. Outside of music therapy, Maya enjoys travel, concerts, writing, and creating music with friends. 


Elizabeth Fasana, MT-BC

Elizabeth Fasana is a Berklee College of Music graduate and Shenandoah University alumna with over ten years of experience in guitar, piano, voice and dance. Elizabeth’s music therapy experience encompasses working alongside autistic children and adults, children and adults with various dis/abilities and working alongside older adults in memory care. Elizabeth is extremely passionate about supporting her music therapy clients. Outside of clinical work, she enjoys being in nature and hanging out with her pet rabbit; Tiffany.


Neguine Niktash

Neguine has been teaching private lessons since 2016. She has helped students accomplish new skills in vocal training, guitar, songwriting, and works with all kinds of individuals such as individuals with special needs, mental illness, Alzheimer’s/Dementia, as well as cancer patients. Neguine graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Music Therapy in May 2016. As an expert in her field, Neguine looks forward to helping new students achieve their goals. Her teaching style is unique and fun, as well as easy going. Neguine is very patient and understands that all individuals learn and grow at their own pace.
